CODE OF CONDUCT

FOR PLAYERS

We ask every player to:

• Show up ready to work. Bring your gear, water, and a good attitude.
• Respect your coaches and teammates. No teasing, mocking, or bullying of anyone.
• Try your best. Effort matters more than perfection.
• Listen and follow instructions. Especially safety instructions.
• Take care of the field and equipment. Pick up after yourself.
• Ask for help if you're hurt. Tell a coach right away.

What gets you removed:

• Fighting or intentionally hurting another player
• Repeated disruption after warnings
• Damaging equipment or facilities
• Any behavior that endangers others

FOR PARENTS

We appreciate you being here. We ask parents to:

• Respect the coaches. They are the voice on the field. Save concerns for after the session or email Coach Daniel directly.
• Be encouraging, not critical. Cheer positively for your kid AND every other kid on the field.
• Stay off the field unless a coach asks for your help.
• Follow facility rules. No smoking, no alcohol, keep the school property clean.
• Handle disagreements privately. Not on Facebook. Not in front of the kids. Directly with Coach Daniel: Daniel.Grande@ymail.com.

What can get you asked to leave:

• Verbal abuse of a coach, another parent, or a player (including your own)
• Physical altercation of any kind
• Public confrontation of a coach in front of players
• Repeated violation of facility rules

If a parent is asked to leave and cannot return, their child's registration may be canceled without refund.

FOR COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS

Whether you're an adult coach or a high-school volunteer, you're a role model the moment you step on the field. We ask you to:

• Follow the two-adult rule at all times. No adult is ever alone with a minor participant. No 1-on-1 unsupervised interactions ever.
• Never make physical contact with a player outside of demonstrating a technique, and always briefly and in view of others. No hugs, no pats on the head. High-fives and fist-bumps are fine.
• Speak to and about players with respect. No cursing, no name-calling, no sarcasm at their expense.
• Report concerns immediately. Anything concerning about another coach, volunteer, parent, or player: report to Coach Daniel the same day.
• Never share direct contact information with a minor participant (phone, personal social media, personal email). All communication goes through the parent.
• Never transport a minor participant in your personal vehicle unless the parent is present.
• Complete required training (CDC HEADS UP Concussion, NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest, background check for adults) before the first session.
• Follow safety protocols. If a player is hurt, follow the Concussion Response Protocol and Emergency Action Plan.
• Show up on time, ready to work. Arrive at least 15 minutes before the session.

What removes you from the roster:

• Any violation of the two-adult rule
• Any inappropriate physical contact with a minor
• Any private communication with a minor participant
• Verbal abuse of a player, parent, or fellow coach
• Any conduct that endangers a player's safety

By registering a player, signing up as a volunteer, or attending a CoachPilot clinic in any capacity, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this Code of Conduct.
